What do I bring to the table?
After studying social pedagogy and educational sciences in Freiburg and Koblenz, I worked in youth welfare as a state-certified educator. For almost thirty years, I worked in various residential facilities in every conceivable role and position. Most recently, I spent fifteen years as the director of a facility for young men aged 12-20. Before graduating from school and/or starting vocational training at this facility, these young people had already been through a lot and brought with them a wealth of experience and behaviors. There were also two intensive groups for young sex offenders. During this time, I learned a great deal about antisocial behavior, boundary violations, and various forms of violence, and how educational and conceptual responses to these issues can be developed and designed. Fixed conceptual building blocks included Positive Peer Culture (PPC), Peer Group Counseling (PGC), and a highly participatory and resource-oriented educational program from the Recognized UNESCO Project School (UPS), which we developed for the facility.

Following this work, I spent several years training social workers as a professor at the SRH University in Heidelberg, focusing on leadership, organization, and management. Since my time at the university, I have been working intensively on institutional violence protection in addition to leadership issues and have developed Schutzkonzept Reloaded, a digitally supported program to support and accompany institutions and organizations in all care contexts in the development, introduction, and implementation of their organization-specific protection concepts.

What do I contribute?
I accompany and support institutions in an innovative and highly effective way to develop, introduce, and implement institutional concepts for protection against violence in the broadest sense. The focus here is on the participation of all members of the organization, i.e., all employees and clients. In this way, concepts are supported jointly and can develop sustainable effectiveness.
